One of the highlights of Iceland is the presence of an active geyser. Although the exemplar that gave the phenomenon its generic name, namely Geysir, nowadays is not active, some 100 meter away one finds its little brother, Strokkur. Strokkur reliably erupts every five minutes or so, hence can be visited any time with guaranteed success. Obviously, this is a must-see for any visitor of Iceland - hence we went there as well... |
