The Göksü deltas renowned for its birds, but perhaps the area would deserve equal fame if one focused on wasps! Certainly the dunes are rich in digger wasps - though as dunes they are not very impressive. Away from the beach the sand gradually becomes vegetated but this land is only a few meters above sea level. It looks more like a continuation of the beach, with many plants typical for dunes. The area is so low that during storms the sea will flood and inundate it. |
