The Göksü delta is renowned for its birds, but perhaps flies and wasps could make the area equally famous! Behind the dunes there is a rather large flat area that, in view of the halophilic vegetation, must regularly get flooded. In this area are stretches with a blue flowering thistle-like plant, Cardopatium corymbosum, which is very attractive to wasps and bees. Among the visitors are some very impressive spider wasps and bees.
