Whenever I notice something special and time allows, we stop to take a closer look. Here, the incentive for stopping were rock structures. But once you have stopped, looking around a bit is attractive. Today i was rewarded with a very special plant, Cytinus ruber. I missed it last year, but now I found it already on the first day. The trick in finding this plant is looking at the base of many, many Cistus shrubs, as Cytinus parasitizes Cistus, living inside their host; you can only find Cytinus when its flowers erupt from the base of the host plant.
