After some first shopping in Mesquite, we continued driving to Kanab. Along the road we saw Joshua trees in the distance, and the map indicated an area with Joshua Tree Natural Area. In Littlefield we took the 91, which should lead us via Beaver Dam straight into Joshua Tree territory; and indeed, soon enough we noticed many more of these trees. Just before reaching the border of Arizona and Utah we made a third stop, where I found a few more cacti and beautiful Joshua trees - the first Yucca. |
