Natural History Photographs

A main feature of Zion National Park is Zion Canyon, a deep and narrow gorge carved by the north fork of the Virging River. The near-vertical cliff faces are up to 900 meter high, which makes for a dramatic landscape. Access is limited to public busses, which depart frequently - as a result, the area is quite crowded. Nonetheless, the scenery is so impressive that it's worth to (try to) ignore the crowds, and to focus on landscape, flora and fauna - all of which there is a lot!
