Natural History Photographs


The Pyramids of Güímar are six pyramid-shaped terraced structures built from lava stone without the use of mortar. They are a local touristic attraction that we visited not for the purpose of natural history. However, the botanical garden around the pyramids sported various butterflies, and I focused on them. I saw even one Canary Blue, but regrettably couldn't make a photo of it...
