The northwestern tip of Tenerife sports a partly unique flora, with endemics restricted to this area. The area is quite inaccessible though, which makes the rich flora almost a forbidden fruit... A few of the highlights were not so difficult to find in the end, like the enigmatic Euphorbia aphylla. At the parking place you find some very tame lizards, which you can feed from your hand- they appreciate bread and cheese! Normally these lizards are hard to photograph, but here just lives a population of photo models... |
