Natural History Photographs

On Saturday 30 July we moved from the second to the third holiday house, in the direction of Oslo. We passed various serious tunnels, the longest one being 24 km; there where roundabouts of tunnels, and close to Vøringfossen there is a tunnel which makes a full turn, just ending up higher. Vøringfossen is an impressive waterfall, its total height is 182 m; next to it is another waterfall, Tyssvikjo. The two waterfalls produce a continuous 'fog' making the woodland around the falls soaking wet -ideal for lichens. This is perhaps remarkable as Vøringfossen is one of the major tourist attractions of Norway.
