Monte del Agua
2 January 2017

The laurel forest of Tenerife is best preserved in in two locations: in the west in the area of Monte del Agua, and in the peninsula of Anaga in the northeast. Though similar species can be found in both areas, Monte del Agua lacks the mossy, jungle-like atmosphere of the cloud forest of Anaga. Yet, where the tree trunks were close to the broad path, beautiful lichens could be observed at close range.
