Los Silos - Cuevras Negras
31 December 2016

This trail leads to a deserted hamlet, Cuevras Negras, and beyond. Beyond the ruins, the trail leads into the forest; but we didn't even ponder the question whether or not to pursue the trail into the forest, as we spend already so much time before we reached Cuevras Negras that we had to return there. One of the reasons was the abundance of the lichen Roccella, in four different species. Another highlight was the fern Adiantum reniforme, which worldwide has an extremely patchy distribution.
