The pine forests are most enticing when clouded in thick fog, creating an almost magic atmosphere. The fog made all lichens at there best, with deeply saturated colors, making the forest appear much richer than during dry sunny weather. The downside was I had to endure the cold, which was much tied to the fog: just 100 meter or so lower, temperature was much more agreeable - but it lacked the magic cretaed by the fog.
