Valle d'Aosta, Italy
Surier
6 August 2018
As we planned to drive back home on August 8th, this was the last opportunity to go further away - as the last day is spent on preparing to leave. We drove in the same direction as the day before, one valley further from Aosta. From the parking place, a dirt road continued along the river; after a few km, we could gradually move towards the river. Even further, the track was covered by unmelted snow, but we found it too tricky to try whether this would bear our weight... We therefore returned, which was fortuitous anyway since soon enough a thunderstorm kicked in. Nothing too serious, but that's hard to predict in the mountains.
