Natural History Photographs

USA

5 - 22 August 2017

In August 2017 my family and I visited the USA, in order to watch the solar eclipse on August 21st. This was an excellent opportunity to visit various highlights, such as the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park - but also lesser known localities such as the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The two areas we focused on - southern Utah and Yellowstone National Park - were completely different, both in their geology and biology. Photographically this resulted in a rich harvest of approximately 7,700 photos. These pages (the map below gives access to subpages) aim to show a fair sample of all photos, organized with the aim to give a good overview of our experiences.

Hover your cursor over the pins, then click the rectangle or star that appears. Stars link you to a page about the location indicated by the pin; rectangles link you to a more detailed map. (nb: On touch screens, stars nor rectangles will appear; touching the pins will link you to the pages though.)
